Land Acquisition Specialist

Land Acquisition Specialist will build up the strategy of land lease/acquisition together with responsible project managers for the renewable energy project development. Ability to draft the structure of necessary contract and to review its compliance to local law is a basic requirement for this position. It is also necessary to engage directly with landowners, legal consultants, real estates agents, and other stakeholders as required during the entire development process. This position may require assisting or managing the entire project development from origination to completion, directing the gathering of information from multiple sources and ensuring that all stakeholders remain updated and aligned.

 

 

Develop wpd’s pipeline projects

  • Structure land acquisition strategy on a project basis, including:
    • Understanding the permitting processes and corresponding requitements related to land security for each project.
    • Follow up on the changes in law, regulation and governmental policy related to land acquisition and assess the opportunities and risks.
    • Coordinate relevant external consultants
    • Propose and report the relevant budget for land acquisition.
    • Contribute to the commercial planning and evaluation of the project through providing financial case study.
    • Be the interface in between internal project development managers and external consultants and/or landowners.
    • Communicate and negotiate the lease/purchase condition with respective landowners complying to corporate guideline and approval process.

 

 

  • Participate to the team and company growth in the market
    • Propose improvement of processes
    • Collaborate with the team and individual colleagues to support the entire project development process.

 

 

Support the expansion of the pipeline though support of green field site search and project acquisitions

  • Support transaction processes for acquiring projects to further increase wpd’s project pipeline.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews on potential project sites to evaluate the project suitability.

 

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be passionate about the renewable energy business
  • 5+ years related experience in real estate industry or land acquisition for project development.
  • Outstanding organizational and people skills
  • Strong team orientation and demonstrated stakeholder management skills
